CHI Kai-Yuan<\/b><\/h4>

Born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, CHI Kai-Yuan is currently pursuing a PhD at the Graduate School of Contemporary Visual Culture and Practice at National Taiwan University of Arts. Through recent participation in artist residencies, Chi continues to explore the relationship between \u201cspace \/ place\u201d and \u201cpeople \/ culture,\u201d utilizing quotidian objects as the main medium in his work.<\/p>

Chi has completed residencies at 18th Street Arts Center (Los Angeles), International Studio & Curatorial Program (New York), Schaumbad (Austria), and Gyeonggi Creation Center (South Korea). Chi received the Grand Prize of Taipei Arts Awards in 2014, was granted a six month fellowship in New York by Asian Cultural Council in 2015, and held a solo exhibition at Taipei Fine Arts Museum in 2017.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
